2010 SIRES
 2010 BREEDING &  SALES LIST
REFERENCE DOES
REFERENCE BUCKS
Old-English Saanens is a small herd of ‘cute white’ goats located in Southern California on a 5 acre farm in Chino Hills.    There will be nearly 30 does freshening, with the addition of four young  bucklings (*B Loughlin's Talut's Tuscan , Loughlin's Dream Maker's Fox, *B Old-English Colombo & Tres Amigos Viego Santiago ),  the return of *B Old-English Robin Hood, several AI breedings as well as *B Old-English Jack's Son and other Old-English bucks listed on the sire page. 2010 will indeed be a kidding season to look forward to.

We were so excited when SGCH Old-English Tatiana was named  1st place 3 year old and Best Saanen Udder and ++*B Old-English Jack’s Son named Premier Saanen Sire at the 2007 Nationals, along with  Old-English Xotica being 1st Senior Kid, in Jr. Get of Sire Old-English Clinton (owned/shown by Companeros Dairy) received 1st place and Old-English Jack's Son was 2nd.  BUT this year the lovely Sartyr Clinton Tivoli (Old-English Clinton x SG Sartyr Stand Out Titian) was Reserve National Champion Saanen, congratulations to Stephen Considine.  SGCH Companeros Clinton Jewel,  another Clinton daughter was 3rd in the 3 year old class with Companeros/ Redwood Hills.  It is such a thrill to see Old-English bred animals working well in other herds.

In 2009, Old-English does continue to compete well in ADGA Shows.  All the doelings shown have their dry legs, there were many GCH, RGCH, BIS awarded as well.

Once again, we participated in the ADGA’s LA program. The  the 2009 herd appraisals were GCH Old-English Taluhla EEEE 93, SGCH Old-English Tatiana EEEE 92, her twin GCH Old-English Tilly EEEE 92,    Old-English Reason’s Wabuska EEEE 92, GCH Old-English Wild Flower EEEE 91 and Old-English EV Whitney EEEE 92,  Old-English Xcapade EEEE 91, Old-English Xstacy +EEE 89, first fresheners Old-English Xamara VEEE 89,  Old-English Yapeka VEEV 89 and Old-English Yatiana VEVE 88.

I am grateful for my good friends and mentors for their guidance and encouragement over the last 18 year of the Old-English adventure. Linda Colquitt (Colquitt’s and Eder’s), Joyce Lazarro (Saanendoah) and Judy Morrison (Cherrypines Saanens) have always been available for the joyful times and tears.  New friends that have become a part of the 'cute white goat' family are Catlin Cahill, Brian Heiser and Laura Reynolds.  It would be impossible to have the success and enjoyment from the goats and related activities without such a supportive and helpful network of friends. A special thanks to Loretta Cisneros on whom I depend. It is comforting to have complete confidence in her ability to care for the herd when needed and being on 24-hour call for unexpected events. I am truly blessed to have these friends in my life.

This was the first year Old-English does were on DHIR testing.  At this time most animals are still in progress with their milk records.  Prior to this year we participated in One Day Test with many does over the years being Superior on the NSBA year end awards. The NSBA web site has information from 1999 forward on One Day milk tests, and District VIII results. If interested you can find Old-English animals on their web site.

All kids are separated from the does at birth and raised on a CAE prevention program. I CAE test every year, most recently in January 2010 with WSU, and all animals were once again negative.
